Within 24 hours of being instructed to initiate an ESA, we will retrieve regulatory agency environmental records referencing the area within up to a one-mile radius of the site. We will use this information to identify recognized past and present environmental conditions at the site and surrounding properties. Our search will include information maintained in over 80 Federal and State databases, including but not limited to the following:
Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA) Notifiers — this federal database lists facilities that have filed notifications to generate, transport, treat, store or dispose of hazardous waste.
RCRA Violators — this federal database lists facilities that have been cited for RCRA violations.
Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, & Liability Act (CERCLA) Sites — this federal database catalogs sites that have been identified as having known or suspected uncontrolled releases of hazardous substances, contaminants, or pollutants.
National Priorities List (NPL) Sites — this federal database lists properties that have been identified for cleanup or other remedial action under CERCLA.
Registered Storage Tank (RST) List — the state RST database lists sites with registered aboveground or underground storage tank facilities.
Leaking Registered Storage Tank (LRST) List — this state database identifies registered aboveground or underground storage tank facilities where one or more tanks have leaked their contents into the soil or groundwater.
Emergency Response Notification System (ERNS) — this federal database lists sites that have reported spills of oil or hazardous substances to federal agencies.
State Superfund — this state database itemizes sites where a release of hazardous substances is known or suspected. Potentially responsible parties (PRPs) are also identified on this list.
Solid Waste Landfills — this state database lists all regulated solid waste landfills
